I've got a small knitting window, between custom orders, and have been itching to knit up my "Spunky Mama" 3 ply.....

So, I decided I needed a new Cable Twist beanie, as I gave the other one away...

Then I was flicking through Woollywormhead's new eBook, Wee Woolly Toppers and saw Tubey and fell in love with it, instantly :) I had enough handspun left, so I cast it on yesterday. As I was nearing the end, i remembered the kids saying I wasn't allowed to make myself a Jester HAt, so I put some Jester hat increases into the last stockingette pattern repeat, and Voila.....I have a Tubey Jester!!!

So here endeth the interesting knitterly content, for now......

Latest handspun-ness...hmmm...yummerOOnie =:o)

This one is 3 ply, a variegated single made of 100g of merino silk, and two others, a black merino and a bottle green merino. I am so pleased with it :)

This is the yarn I made for the UK Spinners swap. Its a single of Cashmerino from Spunky Eclectic, and two other merino singles, one black and one space spun in three different shades of pink :D

Phil's Band WeirdFish played a birthday party on Saturday night, a friend of ours was 40 :)
We all got very very drunk and had a fantastic time..........

Some interesting knitterly content!!!!

Finally finished my second Cable Twist III socks......and oh my they are comfortable.....I am definitely going to make more of these in this type of yarn!!! Its a DK-ish superwash yarn, and I knit them on 3mm pins....

This is a WoollyWormhead Jester Hat, knit from my own handspun as a gift to go in my UK Spinners swap parcel...... :)

The lovely Nic texted me today to say she'd seen my woollies in The Green Parent again...and then she sent this pic over to me!!! I've included a picture of the original woollies, which are now owned by Nyree Dawn of Bums and Roses
They look great, and of course, they are number 1..... **grins** hehehehe

Inspiration

This is not a new colourway, but it is a newly revisted one :) I was wandering around in my pyjamas this morning in the garden, and came across this beautiful flower.....no idea what its called, as it was from a random packet of seeds the kids planted up ;) It is such an intense colour....I had to try and replicate it, and I am quite pleased with the result!!!

Knitterly content :)

There's been a severe lack of knitterly content over the last month hasn't there, its all been about shameless self promotion :D

Here's some custom woollies I have finished over the last week or so.....yeah I know.....nothing for me.... **sighs**

Had a brilliant weekend!!!

Went over to Lottie's to celebrate her birthday.......went out last night for a few beers, and then over to Lutterworth to have a days paintballing :) Met a GREAT bunch of people, and have some war wounds to show off.....some lovely bruises and I thought I'd share ;)
