These have been finished in double quick time....'bout 6 hours :) Using up the last of my stashed hand-dyed....they are a small size (thats why they were quick to knit) and are in the Instock shop!

Dan's Hat!!!

An extremely quick knit.....finished it in about 3 hours :)
Dan loves it, and the yarn was a joy to knit with, and the colours are great.....

Phoenix Handspun

This was a special commission from my eldest son, Daniel. He wants a new hat, so he asked me to "make" him some wool :) He chose the colours, as he liked the last one I made, the WoollyWormhead Tri-Peak. I made twice as much as I knew I needed, and the other skein is for sale in my etsy shop :) I shall blog the results once I have done it....gonna start it tonight :)

WoollyWormhead has had her baby!!!

Baba, a boy, was finally born this evening, at 5.26pm, weighing 7lb 14oz.
He has Tom's hair, so chilled he can fall asleep feeding (and has no problems there either), and is just fine.
All are fine and well, Woolly has been through a long pre-labour and also a drawn out labour too, so she's quite exhausted. They should all be home in a couple of days.

Ahh....so that is what food colouring is for!!!

Its Daniel's 9th Birthday today, and as his brother will be 5 on Sunday, I've made them a joint cake for their little party this afternoon :) Its a triple-decker-scooby-snack sponge cake with jam sticking the sponge layers together..... yummmmmmm !!!!

What fun, squishing the food colouring into the fondant icing......at one point there were splatters of red everywhere...looked like I'd severed an artery!!!!

Uber Proud Mummy moment......

My eldest, Daniel, got a Rubix cube for Christmas...and it came with a little instruction booklet showing you the various steps you needed to go through to complete it. My husband and him have been working really hard together, to help each other memorise the steps.

Well, last night, Daniel completed it......he's 9 tomorrow......

I am so proud of him.

Enchanted Forest

This is one of my new colourways.....and I just had to see how it knitted up for myself.....so I used the last of my Organic merino and dyes 150g of the variegated and a 50g black trim. I am so pleased with them....!!!

They will be in my Instock shop tonight, hopefully :)

Purple Patch :)

This is a pair of Large cropped Longies, made from 50% Alpaca - 50% Merino, one of my two custom orders for March. I had so much fun making these, especially the leg cuff :)

These are the other March custom order. For a returning customer, whos' daughter loved her first pair of ribbies so much, she refuses to wear anything else....so she needs a pair to use in rotation :) I love these, they are so vibrant.....

I didn't chill out, until I really HAD to....it was one of those stinkeroonies that goes away for a day, then comes back twice as bad......just about feeling human now.....!!!! Still got a hacking cough....and yes Bigbird...if I wasn't a partaker of the evil weed it might have already been and gone by now...but hey ho..... *winks*


Am blogging to let you all know I am still here.....and that the dreaded lurgy cannot claim me any longer!!!!

Poorly me :(

Have had a stinker of a cold since last Thursday, and its now progressed from my head to my chest, so i am coughing a lot and aching constantly....
Went to bed at 9pm last night, with a Lemsip (or Boots generic equivalent as its cheaper and better lol)

Gah....

Feeling a little better today, but am really **wishing** my Fairy equivalent would come to stay, so all the jobs get done...makes me feel so much worse when the jobs don't get done.
So, I end up knackering myself out, when I should be resting...
