Yoshimi and I are going to Woolfest!!!!!

We're travelling up there tomorrow night, and camping.......not sure about how the weather will behave, but I am packing my wellies!!!! Oooooh.......a weekend of woolly goodness.....spending spree extraordinaire!!!

Undyed Aran (merino or BFL will be good)

Acid dyes

Citric acid powder

Ashford dyes

.........and a little yarn frivolity for me *grin* Maybe some sock yarn.....

This is what I have worked on this week ........there is also a lot more I havn't blogged, as I am saving it for my shop....the last time I blogged shop items they got bought!!!! So will blog them all when they are listed. Plus, theres going to be a little collaborative competition starting on my website soon..... so watch this space!!!!

They are a Large size......turned out fab too :)

A Window of Opportunity

Well, I have had a really busy morning......
The weather has been awful here over the past week or so, rainy but muggy, so I've had to grab every window of opportunity I could, with regards to washing clothes, and dyeing wool....
Woke up this morning and the wearther is fine...really hot and sunny.....so I sprang into action!!! I'd hanked up some wool yesterday, just in case I could get some dyeing (or more importantly DRYING) done....
So I now have a lovely line of whites out, and 3 hanks of 50% Merino-50% Alpaca drying on the line....
Quite pleased... *grin*

My weekend project :D

I am so pleased with them :D

They are made from Hand dyed 50% merino-50% Alpaca...and the pockets still need buttons....but I was so excited I had to blog them straight away!!! They are for the instock shop.....

OOh......something for MEEEEEEEEE.... *grin*

This has been my Stitch n Bitch project fo a month or so.... a wavy rib cuff, and an anatomically correct toe using so using sock wool bought on my Skipnorth Jaunt for £1 :)

I knit the main body of the sock using the free Regia sock pattern.....

Look what I did yesterday :)

This colourway I have called "Hercules"... and I dyed it to compliment the Size 1 nappy/wipes set that has been specially made, by StuffieNappies

This colourway is "Tutti Frutti #3" as I have dyed it to go with the last nappy in a set of 3 made by Stuffienappies....

And finally, I couldn't resist doing another run of "Phoenix"......I love it :)

The wool is all overdyed 50% Merino - 50% Alpaca.......dreamy soft, and fantastic to work with. No felting issues whatsoever...dream to knit with, and I am sure a dream to wear :o)

Another Rainbow!

Had some woven labels made, so I can sew them onto the backs of my woollies :) Thought it was about time.... and I'm so pleased I went for it, I think they look Fab :D

These are two pairs for one lucky little fella in Scotland!!!! Because his Mum ordered two pairs of shorts at the same time, I upgraded the blue ones to have longer legs and pocket for no extra charge :)

Loyalty should be rewarded I think :D
