Lovely squishy post, but I'm now a little sad :(

"Raisin Wannabe"
4 oz Shetland top

I was really excited when I got an invite to join the Spunky Eclectic fibre club last month, and subscribed straight away, as I've been on the waiting list for ages.....but today I've had to unsubscribe, as the International fibre sub has gone up from $19 to $21, which is about £13 in our money, with the $ being as high as it is atm..... just a bit too much to justify :(

It seems the credit crunch is hitting everyone really hard..... *sobs*

Lushness beyond compare!!!

This is 40% Cashmere - 60% wool....and it is soooooo soft!!!!
Dyed in my "Mordor" colourway
I have a huge dilemma though, would you spend £16 on the whole 100g, or £8.50 for 50g??

.::Shocked and Stunned::. ..seriously!!!!!

I started spinning some superwash BFL just now, to make a 3 ply sock yarn for my Mum.....and am currently spinning 34+ wraps per inch.....how did that happen????
I'm spinning on my travelling wheel, Lily, not on Louie....it'd kill me to try and spin that fine on him, as he pulls like crazy and snaps the single when you get too fine......
She's a dream of a wheel....and I loves her :D

Excited.....me??

Finally, after so long trawling etsy, I have finally found some Targhee fibre, within my price range and enough for a 3 ply!!!
Called "Live and Let Ply", it's 2 equal pieces of combed top, dyed in complementary colorways and intended to be plied together. Hurrah!!! And I have oodles of solid merino to choose from to make another ply....perfectamundo!!!! Yes, dear fibre lovers, it had to come and live with me and be my friend.......
I bought it from Craztcatfibers lovely, lovely lady.......and great customer service......!!!
Now.....I'll be stalking my postman, for SURE....... muahahaha

Shepherd's delight???

Sure hope so!!!

Dan's new hat!!!

Its a WoollyWormhead pattern (of course!!!) called "Dylan's Beanie" and was knitted to be put into the running to be the featured photo on the pattern.......oh, yeah, and Daniel needed a new hat ;)

Still Waters

Inspired by this experimental colourway on some Falkland roving for my etsy shop I have decided to make it a permanent colourway......and dyed some Merino Sock yarn in it this morning

I am really pleased with how its turned out!!!

Secret Garden Pants :)

I KNOW I said i was having a break, but I've not knit this colourway before, and pants are quite a quick knit......... **shuffles feet**
I am really pleased with them too.....which is always good!!!

"Ocean" 3 ply Cashmerino

Its a 3 ply cashmere/merino yarn, @ 77g, approx 140 yds…..
I love it so much though, even though its really little, its a lot more greeny in real life and unbelieveably soft, I can’t get a good green colour in natural light at this time of year!!! The cashmerino ply is some Blue Bayou cashmerino from Lindalee on etsy , and the other two plies are a teal merino and a pastel green one :)
